#Rafah & the case for military intervention in #Gaza
بِسْمِ ٱللَّٰهِ
I posted a short video this morning after the need for military intervention in Gaza - an argument I have made in the past.
In any other theatre of conflict where a civilian population was being slaughtered by a belligerent occupying power, it would be a no-brainer to argue that there needed to be economic and trade sanctions, diplomatic isolation, military intervention and even regime change.
Yet when it comes to the #Palestine and the Zionist occupying force it is argued that this is so unlikely to happen by the Arab and Muslim regimes, that we should not waste our breath.
I disagree.
Firstly, from an Islamic perspective, it is the method to help and rescue these people, and establish a more just system than the apartheid occupation - like the civilisation that presided over justice and harmony for Jews, Muslims and Christians for 12 centuries.
Secondly, it is the only geopolitical solution that can rescue these people. Egypt alone has a stronger military on paper (more than 1000 military aircraft and 300 000 troops) than the Zionist occupation - which relies continuously on US, EU and UK aid.
Thirdly, it is a repeated plea from those in Gaza.
Yes, the rulers are traitors and the real Zionist defence force.
But a single word calling for the correct solution, and a real solution is better in my view than a thousand that call for things that change nothing.
